Weekend Update

So Friday I met Keyron at the MetroPCS store and got him his cell phone. Also got the plastic shells for the phones. He got the pink one (Actually it’s hot pink) and I got a blue metallic. You can barely pry the phone from his hands now. He keyed in all the contacts he stored in his iPod. And it rings or buzzes constantly.

After that we came home, had some goat cheese and speck with rosemary crackers along with a dynamite little French wine. It was a a Chateau De Segries Tavel. Offset the tanginess of the goat cheese nicely.

Then some friends came over, I did my thing in the sanctum sanctorum.

Saturday it was buzz around day. Met a friend of ours and had lunch up on Thayer St. Then Saturday night went to Waterfire and met up with friends there. You’ve already seen my Waterfire gripe.

But on our way downtown on Saturday I felt something sharp hit my heel. It was a nail that had punched through the sneaker and into the heel. Ouch! It bled a bit, I cleaned it out and put some Neosporin on it when I got home and today I went and got a Diphtheria-Tetanus (Td) vaccination because it’s been 14 years since my last one. Just one of those things you completely space on, but now I’m good out to 2020.

The vaccination itself was painless. Nice little 5ml intramuscular injection on the left arm. If you can’t remember when you last had the vaccine, go and get it done. Tetanus alone is a nasty little bacteria hence the reason another name for tetanus infection is lockjaw.
