So I’ve now read two books in the past few days:
1) Matt Taibbi’s “The Divide: American Injustice in the Age of the Wealth Gap”
Fantastic book on how banks and big business get away with crimes, never sees the inside of a courtroom, etc. We saw that most recently with the Affluenza kid. Money fucking talks.
And related – I’ve also read “Flash Boys” by Michael Lewis. In it he tells the story of the founding of the IEX exchange. In essence an exchange create to stop the high frequency traders from knowing the mind of investors. Quite a fascinating read.
