AFA needs to stop whining about the mistreatment of Mormons

Once again the AFA is upset because their Moronmon brethren are under attack. It isn’t just their Mormon brethren, but their Catholic brethren too. You don’t hear them talk much about Catholic persecution because quite frankly they wish the Catholic Church would go away.

It’s funny, when they don’t have something to rally around they’ll all sit and point finger at each other. But give them a rallying cry and suddenly their dogmatic differences don’t matter.

Gays launch hate attack against Mormons because of their support for traditional marriage

Thank the LDS church for its support of Proposition 8

Dear Friend,

Homosexual activists have launched a hate campaign against the Mormons because of the church’s support for Proposition 8 in California. Prop 8 defined marriage as being between a man and a woman.

A hate campaign? No, we’ve simply launched a campaign to claim our rights and perhaps get the IRS to revoke the tax exempt status of the Mormon church. It isn’t hate, it’s justice. The AFA gets very confused on that issue. When things are going their way it’s justice, when they’re not it’s hate.

I don’t hate the Mormon Church, I just want to see it dry up and blow away, same as I’d like to see happen to the Southern Baptists, some of the Catholics, and a few of the more hard line Jewish and Muslim Abrahamic and monotheistic traditions.

As a society I feel we’d be much better off if we stopped focusing on a sky fairy and instead focused on our helping our fellow man. That’s a pretty radical idea isn’t it. Remind you of anyone?

Here are some examples of how gays are targeting Mormons:

* A lawsuit by Fred Karger, homosexual activist, claims that the Mormons violated election laws in California.
* Richard Raddon, director of the Los Angeles Film Festival, was forced to resign when it was discovered he contributed $1,500 to support Prop 8.
* Homosexual groups are calling for the revocation of tax-exempt status.
* For more examples, Google “Mormons prop 8.”

The Karger lawsuit has merit. The Mormons did violate election law and should lose their tax exemption because of it.

In the case of Raddon, he didn’t have to resign. He just couldn’t take the heat that he’d been found out. Screw him.

And yes, we are calling for revocation of the tax exempt status. That’s what happens when a church tries to step into the political fray. Remember Jefferson’s wall between church and state? We want to enforce that.

The Mormons played a vital role in the Prop 8 battle, and traditional marriage would have lost had it not been for their support. While other churches were also involved in the battle to protect marriage – including Catholics and evangelicals – the homosexuals have singled out the Mormons as their target of anger.

Thank you Donald Wildmon and the AFA for admitting that the Mormons overstepped their boundaries on this one. And we haven’t singled out just the Mormons, they themselves made sure they’d be the single beneficiary of our wrath. Let me tell you something, at the Prop 8 rally here in RI I told the people around me that we shouldn’t be rallying on the steps of State House, we should instead start there and march directly over to the Diocesean Offices and residence of Bishop Tobin and protest there.

Because in Rhode Island the Catholic Church is our biggest enemy when it comes to marriage equality.

I urge you to sign the petition thanking the LDS for their good work in the marriage battle. Several nationally known leaders have already expressed their support. In addition to myself, the list includes Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family, Charles Colson of Prison Fellowship, Tony Perkins of Family Research Council, Paul Weyrich of Free Congress Foundation, Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention, and Gary Bauer of American Values. We will forward the petition to LDS leaders.

If there was a god, I’d hope that he/she/it would strike down the likes of Perkins, Dobson, Wildmon et al. of their religiously motivated ilk. The fact that they’re still foaming at the mouth sort of proves my point.

I often wonder, what would happen if they got their wish and we were all pushed back into the closet. What would they complain about then. Would they consider the high divorce rates in the U.S.? Would they try to feed, clothe and shelter the homeless?

Probably not. The men I talked of two paragraphs ago aren’t in this for the greater glory of any god, they’re in it for themselves.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has offered “prayerful support and steadfast solidarity” to the LDS church for its efforts on behalf of Proposition 8.
Take Action! Sign the Petition NOW!

Thank you for caring enough to get involved. If you feel our efforts are worthy of support, would you consider making a small tax-deductible contribution to help us continue?

Donald E. Wildmon,
Founder and Chairman
American Family Association

I think it goes without saying that I won’t sign their petition, nor will I donate any money to cretins like Willdmon.

In short, fuck off AFA. On the one hand I’m glad I’m on your email list because I get to find out what pisses you off. Then I can add fuel to the fire.

But seriously, to my brothers and sisters out there keep up the fight against the Mormon church and lets spread a little of that fight to the Catholic churches too.

An Obama poll with a slant to it

I noticed this test for your compatibility with Obama’s plans from a OneNewsNow (They’re an AFA sponsored site) email. I get the emails because I think it’s always good to know what your enemies are up to.

For the most part I agree with the Obama plank. Where I diverge is in the areas of taxation, abortion and gun rights. But I notice the questions in those sections are quite literally loaded. There is one about abortion that really made me think.

Should a doctor save a fetus that survives an abortion procedure? If you know the procedures used I said sure, if you can but the likelyhood of that event happening with modern techniques is pretty much zero. And even if you did use heroic measures to save the fetus, the probability that the fetus would then survive for more than a certain period is remarkably decreased.

It isn’t worth it.

As far as the taxation, because I am an S-Chapter business owner I can actually say I don’t want to see the taxes go up on small business. Small business are the ones who can least afford the tax. Go after the big business and then we’re talking.

The gun questions were interesting too. One says Obama wants to increase the tax on ammunition over 500%. This is a bit misleading because they don’t elaborate on the current tax amount. Lets say the current tax is 5 cents per round, a 500% increase would boost it to 25 cents. So yes it’s 500% but it’s only a 20 cent increase.

And I’ll freely admit it. I’m a bit of a gun nut. Don’t get me wrong I don’t have 30 weapons but I have just enough and feel it is nobodies right to tell me how much is enough. Matter of fact I’m thinking of purchasing a Glock 34. It’s a 9mm but I also want to get a .45ACP. Not sure what vendor I’ll buy it from yet.

So the survey of course takes advantage of that fact. Even then I still agree with the Obama platform for about 90% of the items.

Take the test and post your thoughts in the comments. I’ll be interested to see where people land.

AFA is now upset with Honda

And interestingly enough I’m considering a Honda Civic Hybrid as my primary vehicle. I think I’ve said before that my criteria were initially a cost 40MPG highway. The Civic Hybrid meets both those criteria.

Initially I’m going to pickup a Smart fourtwo Cabriolet. It’s way less than $30K and gets 33 city, 40 highway. It’s a two seat vehicle and comes completely loaded for under $18K. We’re talking power everything including heated leather seats. Here in New England that’ll be a nice feature in the dead of winter.

What I find more interesting about the fourtwo is that it has an “automated” manual 5 speed transmission. You can switch it out of automatic to manual but there’s no clutch. It does have a feature where if you’re on a hill it’ll hold the brake a second or two to allow you time to move your foot from brake to gas.

And the whole car is drive by wire.

But anyhow, on to the AFA’s latest tirade:

Dear Friend,

The California Supreme Court, which recently legalized same-sex marriage, has ruled by a 7-0 vote that homosexual rights trump religious freedom. The ruling barred doctors, because of their Christian beliefs, from withholding unnecessary medical care to gays and lesbians. The ruling says that under state law sexual orientation rights trump religious freedom.

Justice Joyce Kennard wrote in the ruling that two Christian fertility doctors who refused to artificially inseminate a lesbian have neither a free speech right nor a religious exemption from the state’s law, which “imposes on business establishments certain antidiscrimination obligations.”

Doctors at the Christian clinic referred the lesbian to another clinic, but the lesbian refused their referral – demanding that the Christian clinic perform the procedure. When the Christian doctors refused to violate their religious convictions, the lesbian sued and the Supreme Court gave her the victory.

This ruling will affect every business in California. If a similar victory in a federal court is won, every business in America will be affected.

For example: Alabama Fertility Specialists (AFS) has begun a campaign to bring Honda of Alabama to its knees because Honda will not cover artificial insemination for a lesbian in it’s insurance.

Honda advised their insurance carrier to “exclude domestic partners (same-sex partners) from ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) benefits including diagnostic services related to fertility/infertility…” If this doesn’t work, then count on AFS to sue.

Alabama Fertility Specialists alerted the media, their supporters and gay groups about Honda’s actions and called on supporters and gays to bombard Honda with phone calls and letters.
Thank you for caring enough to get involved. If you feel our efforts are worthy of support, would you consider making a small tax-deductible contribution to help us continue?

Donald E. Wildmon,
Founder and Chairman
American Family Association

Honda should cover it and I suspect they will. But I can see the reasoning behind them not covering it since IVF is EXPENSIVE and not 100% accurate even today. It spans nothing at all to multiple births at the same time when it is successful.

But the AFA’s lead off in this story is what irritates me the most. Yes, my civil rights do trump your religious rights. The framers of the Constitution wanted us to have freedom of and freedom from religion.

In the case of the doctors perhaps they should consider another career. But then the doctors I’ve run across have been for the most part Jesus freaks with those who check their religious beliefs at the door. The Jesus freaks should maybe consider a career in faith healing because they obviously missed the lesson in medical school.

AFA gets their panties in even more of a bunch over Mickey D’s

Once again the fucktards at the AFA are raving mad at McDonald’s.

McDonald’s does it again

Dear Truthspew,

McDonald’s has done it again. First, the company paid $20,000 to become a member of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and to have a seat on the board of directors. Next, McDonald’s refused a request to remain neutral in the culture war by choosing to promote the gay agenda. Then McDonald’s accused those opposing the gay agenda, including same-sex marriage, of being motivated by hate.

Now we learn that McDonald’s sponsors training for homosexuals on how to promote their agenda among corporations from the inside. Out & Equal™ Workplace Advocates is a national organization devoted to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community in the workplace. One of its primary purposes is to train employees how to aggressively promote homosexuality within the company they work for, all the way to the corporate boardroom. Part of last year’s Out & Equal Summit in Washington, DC, (sponsored by McDonald’s) was an organized march into congressional offices demanding same-sex marriage laws be passed.

At the bottom of McDonald’s half-page ad in the Out & Equal Summit booklet is this statement: “From neighborhood to neighborhood, coast to coast and around the world, McDonald’s is proud to celebrate diversity” (homosexuality).

Good for McDonald’s. From Out & Equal’s main page:

Our mission is to educate and empower organizations, human resource professionals, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and individual employees through programs and services that result in equal policies, opportunities, practices, and benefits in the workplace regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, expression, or characteristics.

The AFA puts the spin on it by saying we’re aggresively promoting homosexuality. No, we’re simply asking for full equality. But then the AFA has always been guilty of twisting the language to suit the homophobe meme.

This is a classic tactic of the AFA. If you notice I’m running out of steam on this because there are only so many ways I can say it. I’d like to tell the founder of the AFA, Donald Wildmon to go and fuck himself. Actually I’d love to shove a 2×4 driven through with rusty spikes up his ass. And the same treatment for the people who support the AFA. I hereby dub the act a spiking. So Spike the AFA!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The AFA isn’t about family, it’s about bigotry and hatred. And their main target is homosexual people. I’d love to see the AFA in a cat fight with the HRC.

AFA Upset that McDonald’s Sponors SF Pride

Oh this is great. The AFA has their nads in a lather again. This time its over McDonald’s being a sponsor in the San Francisco Gay Pride parade and festival.

McDonald’s sponsors gay pride parade

Dear Truthspew,

McDonald’s says they “stand by and support our people to live and work in a society free of discrimination and harassment,” here is what they ! won’t tell you. McDonald’s helped sponsor the San Francisco Gay Pride Parade. Want to see what McDonald’s considers worthy of support? Click here. (Warning: These photos are extremely offensive and graphic.)

AFA asked McDonald’s to remain neutral in the culture war. The company refused, stating they will continue to support the gay agenda including same-sex marriage. AFA has called for a boycott of McDonald’s restaurants.

McDonald’s spokesman Bill Whitman told the Washington Post that those (even Christians) who oppose homosexual marriage are motivated by hate, saying that “… hatred has no place in our culture.”

This boycott is not about hiring homosexuals or how homosexual employees are treated. It is about McDonald’s choosing to put the full resources of their corporation behind promoting the homosexual agenda.

To help promote the gay agenda, McDonald’s paid $20,000 to become an official “organizational ally and corporate partner” of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and secure a seat on the group’s board of directors. The NGLCC lobbies against laws protecting marriage as between a man and a woman.

Get ready for the link to the images they find so shocking. First of all, in only one picture do I see a gent with it all hanging out. The rest of the pix have genitalia covered. It’s just they object to showing so much skin I suppose.

They even put up this warning:

WARNING: The images below contain male full-frontal nudity. Please be aware and exercise caution before viewing these images. If you are under 18, please leave this page!

Ok, you’ve been warned. Prepare to be scandalized.

Note that at the very bottom of the pix is one of a little girl with a balloon and the caption reads “And, sadly, yes. This little girl was exposed to everything you see above. Thanks, McDonald’s.”

Yes, thank you McDonald’s for not caving in to the demands of a bunch of religious fuckwits. Because that is precisely what the people at the AFA are, they are the people who would like to force their religious world view on the rest of us.

Christianity has had a roughly two millennium chance to get things right and they’ve failed miserably at the task. It is time for us to move past the religious bullshit and embrace a concept called personal responsibility.

Move toward spirituality and that spirit tells you to love one another, not start angry pogroms because a man has sex with a man, or a woman with a woman, or even a man with a woman. You’d be surprised, some of the more mentally unbalanced in the AFA think that even straight people shouldn’t have sex, or at least not sex that they’ve put the AFA stamp of approval upon.

I think we still need Gay Pride (Yes, I know, LGBTQ….) because every day we’re surrounded by straight pride, including the asinine blabbering of the people at the AFA. We see PDA’s, we see it in the majority of literature, television, movies, etc.

And then there is the homophobic attitude of the AFA. I guarantee you there’s more than one closeted homo in that organization. Look at the track record of others who were vociferously anti-gay. I’ll use Ted Haggard as an example. Yep, don’t piss off a gay hustler is the only advice I could give to Teddy Boy. Look at the most homophobic congressmen who’ve been caught with pants down and worshiping at the altar of the cock.

We’re EVERYWHERE. And we need to make it clear that we won’t take second class citizenship. And this gay man will not stand for it any longer. I’m politically active too.

AFA: Upset about a gay sex book in a bookstore

It seems our old nemesis the AFA is at it again. This time against Barnes and Noble for the audacity to have on view in public the book “Ultimate Gay Sex”.

Then again, when I searched for that I saw this one, Dick: A Users Guide. I think every guy should have it gay or straight.

Anyhow maybe Mr. Howse could have taken the opportunity to explain to his young son that sexuality wasn’t just man and woman. It included man-on-man and woman-on-woman. Hell, I bet Mr. Howse watches woman-on-woman porn too.

But the point I’d like the make is that not everyone has access to, or a credit card for that matter. A bookstore might be the only place they can go to get more information about their sexuality.

If I’m not mistaken doesn’t B&N keep all its more adult titles in a separate area? This is a big deal over nothing if you ask me. The fact that young master Howse spotted the book “lying open” on the reading table. Maybe Master Howse saw ass and though it was something else, who knows. But I bet he’s now a master-baiter.

And as usual the AFA has it’s underwear in a bunch over it. BTW, my amazon search on “gay sex” returned 7,328 books. I don’t think we’re whispering anymore but being that this took place in Collierville, Tennessee I can’t see many outlets for young or even older men to get more information about gay sex and relationships. Banning the book from the shelves will just serve to get more misinformation out there and I think we’ve seen the error in that over and again.

Placing it behind the counter means you’d have to know the name of the publication instead of being able to browse. That’s not a solution. I’d say have an adults only area but I realize there may be some younger gay people who need that information just as much so that leads me to say leave them where they are and let people like Mr. and Master Howse get the hell over it.

n Collierville, Tennessee, recently, an 11 year-old boy named Landon Howse was walking through the Barnes & Noble bookstore when he noticed a book lying open on one of the reading area tables. His dad, Brannon Howse, was right behind him. What Landon saw were graphic pictures of two men engaged in sex. The book was titled “Ultimate Gay Sex,” and is one of the many sexually explicit books offered in Barnes & Noble stores.

Mr. Howse was obviously stunned and upset at what his young son had just been exposed to just walking through a general bookstore. When Mr. Howse complained to the store management that this kind of material should not be on the bookshelves anywhere in the store, especially a store children frequent, he was met with indifference. When he complained to law enforcement that Barnes & Noble was in violation of the Tennessee “harmful to minors” statute he was given the run around.

Since this story broke, AFA has learned that this is a serious problem in Barnes & Noble stores across the country. Many parents have written to say they have had the same type of heart wrenching experiences with their children as Barnes & Noble does not place the homosexual pornography behind the counter or even in a restricted area not open to minors. Anyone can go in and find it on the shelf. I wanted to warn parents and grandparents about this danger because this is the largest bookstore chain in America and other bookstores have similarly have no responsible policy when it comes to placing these kinds of books in theirs stores.

AFA pushes to have McDonalds stop support of the ‘gay agenda’

The assholes at the AFA, with Donald E. Wildmon as it’s leader is lamenting the fact that McDonald’s won’t back down on it’s support of the NGLCC.

Too bad, the boycott of McDonald’s won’t do anything to their bottom line. Ford learned that lesson.

What the AFA is doing is wrong. It’s absolutely wrong to single out one passage in the Bible while ignoring the other ones, like eating pork, or if we want to talk about abomination, shellfish.

But John Corvino brings up a very good point. What pushes down the walls is for gay people to get to know straight people and vice versa. I know several straight people who know I’m gay and don’t treat me any different because of it.

Over the past weekend I met one of Keyron’s friends fiance. He’s an older guy, by his reckoning he’s 53. But it’s funny, when he found out that Keyron and I had been together for fifteen years he had a lot of questions. You could tell he was trying to understand it better and I saw the light go on when it came to gay marriage.

I think a lot of straight people buy into the myth that we’re sexual monsters. We’re not, or I should say not all of us are. I know some people subscribe to the “So many men, so little time… a new man every day” thing but I have nothing against them. But I think it surprises people to learn that even gay people are in long term relationships. As I explained it to my new acquaintance, in the family I come from the only way a relationship ends is through one or the other dying of natural causes.

It’s a pretty strong family trait on both sides of my family. In the case of my father he’s stood by while two of his wives succumbed to cancer. He’s on wife number three now and either she’ll die first or he will but there’s no bailing out.

The story from my mom’s side is a funny one. My aunt got pregnant at a fairly young age. I was 7 when my cousin was born so that would make my aunt 19 at the time. For twenty one years my aunt played the field a bit but in the end, when my cousin was 21 years old she married his father. My cousin is now 34 years old so they’ve been married for 13 years. Forgot to mention they lived with one another for about 8 years. So in reality, they’ve been together for 21 years.

In short, we gay people are no different than straight people.

AFA: Debunking Evolution

Those fun whacky folks at the AFA are now publishing a book titled “Disprove Darwin in Five Minutes or Less”. Curiously they don’t say who wrote the book. I’ve tried to find the author but it’s near impossible since the folks at the AFA have masked that well, relying on quotes from Dr. So and So. If someone would like to send me a copy contact me. I’ll grab the ISBN number and search on that and then publish the info here.

The title Doctor is an interesting thing. Their doctoral studies may have been in subjects like theology, but you’ll never know that until you ask them. I’ve exported the email to a pdf file and linked it below.

An excerpt from the email:

A few years ago, I joined some friends for brunch after church. At the table was the husband of a friend. Let’s call him, “Tom.”

Tom is not a Christian and was not at church with us. But he showed up for the sake of being social. At first, I thought nothing of it. But when I saw his reaction to our conversation, I knew trouble was brewing.

The sermon that morning was from the book of Genesis. Our pastor has a wonderful way of telling the story of Creation. And like many folks do, we got together after church to share our thoughts about it over coffee.

We weren’t talking 5 minutes before this man’s face turned to ash. Without moving a single muscle he said, “The idea that God created the world is childish… Educated men don’t believe in myth and fantasy.”

We were all stunned. He was usually tolerant. But there he was… trying to make us feel ignorant for believing in God’s power to create this marvelous world we live in.

It’s because you ARE ignorant. The folks at the AFA and other religious institutions have done one thing above all, they’ve abdicated personal responsibility for their own lives and their own free will.

It reminds my of when my grandmother died, the priest at the church must have seen the look on my face because he wouldn’t shake my hand. I suppose the look conveyed that I knew the game.

The friends husband is my hero. I don’t suffer religious fools gladly, nor should anyone.

Here’s where those ‘scientists’ are invoked.

Darwin himself said that future scientists would find fossils of “transitional forms.” Here’s what he meant: If fish really evolved into animals, you would find fossils of creatures that were half-fish, half-animal. This would show that one species was making a transition into another.

So far, no transitional forms have ever been discovered! And of course, no transitional creature exists today. Let’s be honest: Have you ever gone to the zoo and seen a cross between a fish and an animal? Or a half-man, half-monkey?
Fossil: This is a shrimp fossil found in Lebanon. These pictures tell scientists what fish and animals looked like long ago.

All the creatures living on this planet are perfectly formed. There is no record of any animal, fish, beast or creature EVER turning into a different species.

In fact, the real fossil record shows almost no change. That means many of the creatures on this Earth have not changed since the beginning of time.

Here’s something else you won’t read in the newspaper: Hundreds of scientists and university professors are coming out against evolution. This should be front-page news. But you’ll never hear about it in the media.

Check out what some of them are saying about these missing fossils:

• Professor Steven J. Gould, Harvard University: “The extreme rarity of transitional forms in the fossil record persists as the trade secret of paleontology.”

Translation: Dr. Gould is a little too kind. The number of transitional forms is ZERO.

• Dr. Colin Patterson, British Museum of Natural History: “I will lay it on the line – there is not one such fossil for which one could make a watertight argument.”

Translation: There’s simply no hard evidence for evolution.

• Dr. Gareth J. Nelson, American Museum of Natural History: “It is a mistake to believe that even one fossil species… can be demonstrated to have been ancestral to another.”

Translation: Darwin’s theory doesn’t have a leg to stand on…

First of all, Gould has been dead since 2002. Convenient that they use a dead guy to prove their point.

And then of course the AFA is guity of twisting words in the case of Dr. Colin Patterson. They didn’t just twist them, they’re guilty of the sin of omission.

Then there’s Gareth J. Nelson. Here’s an interesting little logical debate that he had with someone from the Skeptical Christian.

The whole skeptical thing is an oxymoron. If you were skeptical you wouldn’t be a Christian. It’s just that simple. Instead the author on the site is using a perversion of skepticism aimed at the outside world from within Christianity.

What the AFA is doing is seizing upon small gaps in the evolutionary record. There is enough evidence out there right now that indicates that evolution is a fact.

Look at the progress in finding hominid fossils. We go back about a few million years with fossils like Lucy who have features common to pan and homo. Then we come further forward to Homo Heidelbergensis, and finally Homo Sapiens. I’ve left out a whole bunch of intermediate forms of homo like Neanderthals, Homo Erectus, Australopithecus Afarensis, etc. The record is there and as time goes on we’re filling in more and more of the blanks, seeing the face flattening and the brain cases expanding from 400cc up to 1450cc.

Then of course there’s the recent news of E. Coli that mutated in order to metabolize citrate instead of glucose. And the beautiful part is the scientist in question, Richard Lenski of Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI has 40,000 generations of E. Coli that were spawned from one single E. Coli cell.

So it was easy to trace when the mutation that allowed citrate metabolism occurred. That’s evolution.

What the fundies don’t understand is that evolution is a branching process, not a linear one. As an example, humans, chimps and bonobos share a common ancestor but we all diverged from it. All three also share a common ancestor with the apes. I suspect the fundies have brain buckets that are a couple hundred cc’s short.

Imagine that.

AFA: Stop $10 Per Gallon Prices

The AFA is known for being, how shall was put this, rather ignorant about things in general. They’re usually off track when it comes to loving relationships, separation of church and state, and things of that nature. Now they’re off track on oil and gasoline.

Act now to keep your family from paying $10 a gallon

Tell Congress you want action on rising gas prices now!

Dear Anthony,

For the past 10 years Congress has refused to do anything to make our country energy self-sufficient. Because of their inaction, we soon will be paying $5 a gallon for gas with the possibility of $10 a gallon in the future. Their refusal to do anything has hurt nearly every family in America. Because environmentalists have kept us from developing our vast and plentiful energy sources, we are now at the mercy of foreign governments (many of which are hostile).

If you believe Congress should allow the exploration of energy sources which would not materially affect our environment, now is the time to send that message. Can your family afford to pay $10 a gallon for gas? They will be forced to if Congress doesn’t act now!

We have abundant energy reserves, but the environmentalists won’t let us use them. All efforts to provide for our needs end up in court because of the environmentalists! A handful of environmentalists are forcing all Americans to pay outrageous amounts for gas!

Will our families have to wait another 10 years for Congress to act? They will unless Congress hears from American families now.

Tell Congress you want common sense action now to reduce the red tape that keeps us from becoming energy self-sufficient!

I’ve discussed the real reasons for the increase in price of a barrel of oil. It has nothing to do with environmentalists but much to do with the companies that control the oil.

Just look at this series of graphs, you’ll see that while the northeast and west coast pay the most for gasoline, we drive comparatively little and pay a smaller percentage of income on fuel, whereas those who live in flyover country pay less for gas, but drive more and pay a higher percentage of income for fuel.

And it isn’t the companies you’d think, it’s oil extraction firms, major investment banks et al that are reaping the extreme profits. If you think the oil companies proper are making obscene profits, look at the banks. They’re making money hand over fist.

If Congress really wants to fix this, they need to break the banks away from the oil process. But to do so would be economically damaging as those investment banks are using oil profits to stave off insolvency.

I say good riddance. Indeed, we’re in for a rough ride. I was talking to my landlord the other day. He’s an old Italian guy, 90 years old and he lived through the Great Depression. He says that right now we are in a depression again. I can believe that, jobless numbers mount, rampant inflation, depression of the value of the dollar, and most of all productivity declines.

I also see news that they’re looking to extend unemployment benefits another 13 weeks, and then in areas particularly hard hit another 13 weeks. So in RI that means we’ll see another six months of unemployment insurance.

That is a sign. Another sign is that the number of people receiving food stamps and using local food pantries has gone way up.

And while we’re at it, maybe we can abolish the Federal Reserve once and for all? One of their key promises in forming that cartel was that it would eliminate the financial panics like recessions and depressions, yet the Great Depression of the 1930’s occurred on their watch, and the next Great Invisible Depression of the 21st Century is happening under their watch right now.

The simpletons at the AFA can’t understand that concept.

But we need to fight to stop this craziness. We middle class have been shat upon long enough.

Post #1001 – AFA trying to push national amendment

This time against gay marriage. Enough is enough, you shall not write hatred into the most sacred document that rules our government.

I’m really getting sick and tired of the Repugs and their fourth column groups like the AFA. To Donald Wildmon I say shut your mother fucking mouth before someone stuffs it shut. Hopefully with a big fat cock.

A constitutional amendment making marriage legal only between a man and a woman introduced in U.S. House

The Marriage Protection Amendment of 2008 needs your support!

June 4, 2008

Dear ,

Congressman Paul Broun of Georgia has introduced the Marriage Protection Amendment of 2008 (H.J. RES. 89). This amendment to the U.S. Constitution would make marriage legal only between a man and a woman.

If you haven’t heard about this, it is because the liberal media opposes it. So if they simply refuse to report it, citizens will know nothing about it and will not act on it.

As you know, Massachusetts has already legalized marriage of homosexuals, while the California Supreme Court has ruled all laws restricting homosexual marriage illegal. In both places, the courts ruled by a one vote margin. The goal of homosexual activists is to see homosexual marriage legal in all 50 states.

Rep. Broun needs co-sponsors for H.J. RES. 89. Please contact you Representative and ask him or her to co-sponsor H.J. RES. 89. Homosexual activists are determined to force homosexual marriage on America by using activist liberal judges, like those in Massachusetts and California. A Federal Marriage Amendment will finally put an end to activist judges tampering with the will of the people.

I urge you to write Georgia Representative Broun and tell him to stop being such a hateful fucking bigot. It is wrong to write discrimination into the Constitution, it is wrong to use that document and its amendments to create a second class of citizens. Under the 14th Amendment we all deserve equal protection of the law. What part of that doesn’t Broun understand?

Here’s the contact and bio info for fuckwit Broun:

What astounds me is that this son of a bitch is an M.D. and he’s on the Science and Tech committee. I’ll be giving his office a call tomorrow and I urge you to do the same. I’m very angry about this.

I will admit I’ve noticed many M.D.’s are, shall we say mentally unbalanced and very bigoted. I wonder why that’s the case.
