Now NOM is pissed at Republicans

Check this one out – apparently they’re still trying to beat the hate drum. What the hell is with the powers at NOM? I’d love to see their current budget as I just bet they’re seeing a drop in contributions. But now they’re getting nervous about the cake war. I think they’re going to lose to be honest. I mean really – as a business owner isn’t your FIRST responsibility to make as much money as you can?

And as always I’ve stripped their links and put donates to pro-gay sites.

TUESDAY, JULY 18, 2017

The entire Republican Party owes their electoral success to people of faith, individuals like us who turned out in droves to oppose the leftist agenda of the Democrats and Hillary Clinton. The Democrats demand complete loyalty to their extreme agenda – same-sex ‘marriage,’ abortion on demand, transgender ideology, virtual elimination of religious liberty, etc. In rejecting the extreme agenda of the left and Democratic leaders, people of faith put their trust in Republicans who said they would deliver on their promises and defend American values.

From Donald J. Trump, to the members of the US Senate, to the members of the House of Representatives, Republican elected officials owe their majority to people of faith, the bedrock base of the Republican Party.

But so far, outside of Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court, the Republicans have precious little to show in terms of delivering on their promises.

Worse, late last week, some 23 GOP members of the US House of Representatives opposed an amendment to the defense spending authorization bill to prevent the use of taxpayer funds to pay for sex-change surgeries from transgendered soldiers.

Are these 23 Republicans clueless or, worse, are they traitors to the conservative cause?

First off, the science is clear that there is absolutely no evidence to show that someone can be “trapped in the wrong body.” Those who think they are “transgender” actually suffer from a psychological disorder known as gender dysphoria.

Moreover, why in the world should US taxpayers be given the bill because a gender-confused individual joins the military and then demands a sex-change operation? It’s insane!

And what’s really problematic is that the GOP leadership in the House, including Speaker Paul Ryan and Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, did absolutely nothing to prevent this travesty and betrayal of trust.

If the Republican leadership in Washington does not get their act together soon and begin delivering on their promises to restore American values like marriage and life, they are going to be in for a rude awakening come the 2018 midterm elections. Why would people of faith turn out to vote for incumbent Republicans who do nothing, or worse, betray us?

NOM intends to hold the Republican majority in the House and the Senate accountable for their actions, and the Trump administration as well. We have a detailed plan to do so, but we need your help to be successful.

Will you stand with us and help us with a financial contribution so we have the resources to hold the GOP accountable and fight for the rights of all marriage supporters?

HERE IS OUR PLAN:

  1. Conduct a strong public education campaign supporting NOM’s legal team as we prepare to file amicus briefs with the US Supreme Court in the Masterpiece Cakeshop case, which holds the potential of achieving a sweeping Court ruling preventing government from targeting people for punishment because they hold fast to the natural, biblical understanding of marriage as one man and one woman…
  2. Hold the Republicans in Congress accountable, including demanding they introduce and move forward with the First Amendment Defense Act to provide protections for people of faith, and demand that GOP members feel the heat when they abandon us to vote for “transgender surgeries” and other policies that violate our values and defy common-sense. (See our petition below.)
  3. Organize tens of thousands of Americans to contact Attorney General Jeff Sessions to demand that the Trump administration move forward with a long-promised Executive Order to protect individuals, pastors, churches and nonprofit groups who believe in traditional marriage from punitive actions against them by the government.
  4. Highlight the utter hate that many on the left have for people who remain firm in their belief that marriage is as God created it – one man and one woman. This includes formally launching our First Freedom Initiative which, among other things, will highlight the animus and dangerous tactics of groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center and the grossly-misnamed Human Rights Campaign.

Combined, these four priorities form the backbone of NOM’s work this summer to protect marriage supporters. But to be successful on any one of these undertakings, let alone our full agenda, we need the strong support of every NOM supporter. Will you be with us?

Let them Eat Cake (NOM’s response)

Oh my – got this recent missive in my email from old Pumpkin Face Brian Brown. Look – it’s pretty certain that Mr. Jack Phillips isn’t a good businessman. Why? Because he hasn’t realized that those little green pieces of paper or increasingly electronic bits are good to have no matter who they come from.

And his contention that he gets involved – bake the cake, deliver it, set it up and go. You don’t need to approve of the wedding participants. And I gotta wonder, how is NOM hitting it’s budget numbers? Because it appears to me that Brian Brown is nothing but a bigot with no other useful skills. And I stripped out all the donate links and re-linked them to HRC, and Ali Forney Center and the like. Why give money to the bigots, but give it to supportive orgs instead.

With Neil Gorsuch now on the US Supreme Court, as one of its last acts of the current term the Supreme Court decided to accept the case of Masterpiece Cakeshop v Colorado Civil Rights Commission, a critical case that highlights the growing problem of supporters of marriage being discriminated against by government and targeted for harassment and punitive punishment in violation of our constitutional rights.

Jack Phillips is the owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, a skilled baker and cake artisan, and a devout Christian. He runs a family business that has thrived in Lakeland, Colorado for nearly 25 years. He’s happily served all clients, and continues to sell baked goods to anyone who seeks them regardless of their religious beliefs, politics or sexual orientation. However, when it comes to applying his artistry and creativity to helping with events and ceremonies that violate his deeply held religious beliefs, he draws the line and declines to personally participate. Contributing his artistry to a gay “wedding” is such a ceremony that Jack cannot in good conscience help with. So when two homosexual men asked him to design a cake for their “wedding” he politely declined. Predictably, the men sued and some months later, after enduring an onslaught of abuse from LGBT activists and a raft of negative publicity, the Colorado Civil Rights Commission determined that Jack was guilty of sexual orientation discrimination, ordered him and his staff to design cakes for gay ceremonies, and further ordered him to undergo a “re-education” program along with filing quarterly “compliance” reports.

NOM is determined to end this type of targeting of people who hold true to the reality that marriage is and always will be the union of one man and one woman. Will you stand with us and help us with a financial contribution so we have the resources to argue for the rights of Jack Phillips and all marriage supporters?

It’s outrageous that not only can LGBT extremists get the judicial elite to impose gay “marriage” on the nation, but that they can get their allies in government to punish anyone who disagrees and refuses to go along with the charade that marriage is anything other than the union of one man and one woman.

Sadly, Jack Phillips is far from the only one who has been subjected to governmental persecution, reputational ruin and the threat of being financially devastated. Countless others have also been targeted by LGBT extremists and their allies in government.

We are going to do everything in our power to put a stop to this, and make this the summer when marriage supporters are protected.

HERE IS OUR PLAN:

  1. Conduct a strong public education campaign supporting NOM’s legal team as we prepare to file amicus briefs with the US Supreme Court in the Masterpiece Cakeshop case. The justices of the Supreme Court need to understand the devastation that their ruling redefining marriage has wreaked on the nation.
  2. Working with allies, organize tens of thousands of Americans to contact Attorney General Jeff Sessions to demand that the Trump administration move forward with a long-promised Executive Order to protect individuals, pastors, churches and nonprofit groups who believe in traditional marriage from punitive actions against them by the government.
  3. Work with key champions in Congress, including Sen. Mike Lee and Rep. Raul Labrador, to reintroduce the First Amendment Defense Act to make permanent the types of protections that would be contained in an Executive Order and a victory before the Supreme Court. President Trump has already endorsed this type of legislation, but it has not yet been introduced into Congress.
  4. As part of the public education campaign, we must highlight the utter hate that many on the left have for people who remain firm in their belief that marriage is as God created it – one man and one woman.

Our team is already hard at work doing the heavy lifting that is required to be successful. We’re preparing additional educational videos and informational pieces, getting ready to launch more petitions to engage Americans, putting the final touches on new policy positions that allied groups can endorse and help us present to Congress and the Trump administration, and conducting rigorous legal research on how and why the constitution protects the rights of people of faith to decline to be involved in something that violates their deeply held beliefs.

All that is required now is your financial support so that we have the resources we need to complete the work that is so important and that can make such a difference, not only for those who are facing persecution like Jack Phillips, but for millions of others who are at risk in the future. Please give generously at this important time.

Thank you for all that you are doing to help us restore marriage and protect marriage supporters.

Faithfully,

Brian S Brown

National Organization for Marriage is begging again

It never stops – I guess old Pumpkin Face Brian Brown doesn’t know what to do if NOM has to close it’s doors. I mean they lost the marriage equality fight. Now they’re going after the transgender community. Enough is enough. Don’t give the bigots at NOM any more money.

I’m sort of surprised that hate still sells. Here’s the letter verbatim:

Anthony: Many people have responded with support for our critically-important Spring Matching Fund Drive, but with just one week to go, we really need your help. Every contribution we receive between now and midnight on May 1st will be matched, dollar for dollar. Unless we hit our goal of raising $100,000 during this time, we’re going to have to make drastic budget cuts. Can you help with an immediate financial contribution?

It’s followed by a bunch of links for donation $15, $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000. I wish they still sent out those little self addressed stamped envelopes, it was always fun taping it a load of bricks and sending it back to them.

And the target seems pretty low to me, only $100,000 by May the 1st. I wonder – is that what Pumpkin Face goes through in a month or every two months? Doesn’t he know, bigotry doesn’t fly anymore. And note in this  missive they never say they’re against the LGBT community, but they are.

And it makes me wonder, what ever became of Maggie “The Loathsome” Gallagher?

National Organization for Marriage new Bigot Bus gets vandalized – Good!

NewNomBigotBus

Well apparently the new bigotry from NOM is against the transgender community. Honestly they lost on the marriage thing, I guess they just need to have someone to hate.

Well their new bigot bus – it got vandalized. Good I’m glad someone did it.

nombigotbus-v1

I hate to tell them, bigotry of any form doesn’t fly like it once did.

But scary part is, these look like bullet holes. Oh it’s getting interesting.

nombigotbusbullet

Even the front passenger side window of the Bigot Bus got broken. Aww the poor little bigots.

Nombigotbus-window

Just goes to show you, there are now consequences for bigotry against the LGBT community. Of course Brian “Pumpkin Face” Brown is going to try and raise money off this. It’s he bigot way.

NOM is in trouble

So I’ve been surfing around this morning and it seems even Brian S. Brown’s twitter account has been compromised.

I’ll tell you something I know about account authentication.

Human nature abhors trying to remember a bunch of different passwords. So what people do is either:

a) Use the same password everywhere
b) Use a munged version of the password by substitution.
c) Or use something so obscure, so impossible to remember normally. But points a & b are used.
d) Password retention policies are weak in most organizations.
e) Even in organizations that enforce password policies, they have to really enforce complete randomization else people will simply change one element of the password and use that as their new password.

What this tells me is that not only were NOM’s social media sites hacked, but that the person or group is running wild inside NOM’s infrastructure.

At this point in the game I’m doubtful that there will be any stunning revelations from NOM’s documentation. We’ve already seen their donors, seen their stunning strategy documents. But expect a dump of private emails, and other sundry of that nature.

And NOM can change all the passwords they want to change, but if the hackers who did this are worth their salt, there are backdoors installed on NOM’s systems.

I knew this would eventually happen. There are a hell of a lot of I.T. type folks who also happen to be LGBT and NOM’s actions get them plenty pissed off about things, pissed off enough to do something about it. And clearly someone or a group has had enough of NOM.

NOM is losing and they know it

I’m always interested to see how far down the path the National Organization for Marriage is going. There is the obvious oxymoron; if they were for marriage would they be saying such patently false, hurtful and ludicrous things to repress and dismantle LGBT marriage rights.

And now NOM is showing their true colors. Their President, Brian Brown (I left out Pumpkin Face for the moment) is now linking homosexuality to pedophilia. I hate to link to their site and if you want to read the whole stinking mess follow this link.

Here’s his attempt to link the acceptance of gay marriage to the acceptance of pedophilia. He’s using the slippery slope argument here:

NORMALIZING PEDOPHILIA

When you knock over a core pillar of society like marriage, and then try to redefine Biblical views of marriage as bigotry, there will be consequences. Will one of the consequences be a serious push to normalize pedophilia?

The Daily Caller raised the question by pointing us all to a high-level academic conference in Baltimore this week, “Pedophilia: Minor-Attracted Persons and the DSM: Issues and Controversies.”

The DSM is the diagnostic manual that defines mental illness. You probably recall that a key moment in the gay rights campaign was the 1973 decision by the American Psychiatric Association, the organization that produces the DSM, to remove homosexuality from its list of mental illnesses.

How do I explain this, we’re not asking to knock down a core pillar of society, but trying to enhance and improve it, to make it stronger not weaken it by creating a second class of citizens.

Brown tips his hand when he mentions the Biblical views. Hate to tell him but marriage even pre-dates the Bible, and I’m talking the Old Testament or Pentateuch. What of the Babylonians before them, or the Pagans? As usual, Brown commits the sin of omission when he says things like this.

Interesting that he now enumerates one of the feared ‘consequences’ of marriage equality as being an increased acceptance for other stigmatized practices that society frowns upon. But greater society is coming to the realization that they an no longer frown upon the LGBT community.

The words of Brian Brown only serve one purpose, to fan the flames of anti LGBT sentiments. Hate to break it to you Pumpkin Face, but somewhere out there is a mentally unbalanced moron who will hear your words and act upon them, either seriously wounding a member of the LGBT community, or killing them all because they read your disgusting twaddle on your ‘blog’.

The point is, the bigotry of NOM is becoming plainly evident as time progresses and they realize that they are on the losing side of history. So they’ll start showing their true motivation. If for example Mr. Brown wants us to adhere to Biblical standards, I say he should read the damned book first.

Because like it or not, NOM is losing.

This week in LGBT News

First and foremost, we have the final certification of the abolishing of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. About damned time if you ask me since most of the military groups of the Western world have started allowing openly gay soldiers, airmen, etc. to no detriment.

But what befuddles me is the 60 day wait until the act becomes official. What’s up with that? The military branches have already done all the training, etc. Is this just a move to allow the Christian Fascists time to re-enact the ban? What gives?

In other news it has been found that there is a strong correlation between gay marriage bans and an increase in rates of HIV infection.

The bigots out there would have us all believe that their words and actions aren’t in any way detrimental to LGBT people. But I’m happy to see science proving once again that the bigots are dead wrong.

By denigrating the LGBT community the bigots instill a sense of second class citizenship, a sense of severe limits on who we can profess our love of, and a sense of hopelessness that leads in some cases to promiscuity, the down low syndrome, etc. It’s no wonder that there is an uptick in HIV rates in states with marriage bans.

Brings up another thought. In states where their sex education was swapped with abstinence only education, they saw a sharp rise in all sexually transmitted diseases.

As one who believes that the next generation and those to come should be educated about sexuality at age appropriate levels. None of this pseudo-science, or religious claptrap. When you have a 13 year old with hormones running rampant, I’d much prefer to have them educated about sex than to be blindly ignorant and trying to adhere to a promise of abstinence.

But the education part, I’m glad that California law now requires acknowledging that some of our greatest thinkers, movers and politicians were LGBT people. Of course the bigots are foaming at the mouth over this because once again, it portrays LGBT people as a normal part of human existence. And the bigots simply cannot work this into their world view.

Finally we have President Obama himself coming on board for the Respect for Marriage bill. This would scrap that horribly unconstitutional law known as the Defense of Marriage Act. The Act should have never seen the light of day in 1996. It was a knee jerk reaction to the potential for marriage equality in Hawaii that propelled the Republicans to give us that awful law.

But I doubt the Act will get through the House. The Orange Goblin himself won’t let it happen. With letters to the editor like this one, is it any wonder? The letter accuses President Obama for violating his oath of office due to his support for the Respect for Marriage Act.

Some guy who goes by the name of Don on there tries saying we’re not persecuted. I have to bring this up.

I once worked for the state’s top law enforcement agency. I had dealings with the FBI’s CJIS division and here’s what I can tell you. A lot goes unreported or under-reported by local police so the FBI doesn’t catch EVERYTHING.

And persecution includes the statements made by NOM, FRC, AFA et al.

Look at the young LGBT folks committing suicide because they feel persecuted. Look at the violence committed against LGBT people on a regular basis yet Don won’t listen to any of that. Oh no, he’d rather push falsehoods. Just like Tony Perkins of the FRC with his falsehood about the American College of Pediatricians. If you didn’t know, the ACP is comprised of religiously bigoted pediatricians. The actual group is the American Academy of Pediatricians.

But by using a similar sounding name, Perkins is trying to lean the public AGAINST we LGBT people. So I’d love for Don to comment here and try to counter this. But he won’t because he’s a coward who blots out his email and contact info.

NOM Blog calls the SPLC rating an “absurd distraction”

If one wants to talk about the absurd, perhaps we should talk about NOM a bit.

Here is the comment I posted on that NOM Blog. I wonder how long it’ll stay up but I’ve already replicated it across facebook and here on my blog:

It irks me that I have to state the obvious; but you are a HATE Group. SPLC is just giving you enough rope to hang yourself.

You just don’t understand that civil rights cut both ways. It allows you to spout your religious bovine effluent that influences your views, and it allows me to marry the person of my choice. Pretty simple in a civil society. The thing is, you want an unbalanced society where the rights of one group trump those of another.

But I’ve noted NOM’s central tenet is the children. All of you at NOM are fearful that if kids find out that there are in fact gay people around and that those gay people are really no different other than who they love, that we LGBT people will become more acceptable.

You abhor that fact so much that you’ll all make the most ridiculous statements concerning the consequences for the children but yet you won’t address Maggie Gallagher having a child out of wedlock, or better yet that you will not comment on childless couples be it age or other.

It shows your hypocrisy regarding marriage and children. In essence it boils to the fact that you HATE LGBT people. That’s right you hate us. You can put on your smarmy sweet smile and offer us drinks on a hot summer day, but at the base of it all, you’re all haters. Every last one of you.

And yes, I did call out Gallagher on her child out of wedlock. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander!

The Bigot Cavalcade Complains about their Treatment in Providence

This is just too much. Your civil rights? Look, nobody ever said that by exercising your civil rights you wouldn’t have to put up or shut up. But that’s the price of civil discourse.

But far be it for me to make any sense here. Just observe what the Bigot Cavalcade says about their time in Providence this past Sunday.

I posted a nice little comment on the video. I said:

I’m glad your Bigot Cavalcade got the welcome it so richly deserved. Stay the fuck out of our state. Nobody wants you here.

I mean seriously – stay out. You are losing the battle and you know it. That’s why you spin all of it to make yourselves look like the victims.

But we’ve been the victim of your falsehoods for long enough and is it any wonder we fought back this past Sunday?
